DUCOVA and énergie Matane
DUCOVA has secured a turnkey contract for the implementation of a new biomass fired steam power plant which would provide steam to the Smurfit-Stone board mill in Matane. The FIRESAND technology was chosen as the best choice to produce 26 MWth and thereby eliminate the use of fuel oil. The activation is expected by the summer of 2010.

DUCOVA and the Centre hospitalier du Domaine du Roy à Roberval
Within the framework of a heating savings project, DUCOVA carried out the complete installation of a FIRESAND boiler at the facility’s thermal power plants. This boiler uses forest biomass delivered on site by truck.
